What kind of work do you do?
I followed a training to become a lock keeper. Now I have been a lock keeper in Vlissingen for 12 years.
Does being a woman play a role in your work?
If you have both men and women in a team, the atmosphere is more friendly.
What do you like most about your job?
When I have escorted a ship across the Channel, and over the VHF radio they say "Thanks for the smooth operation", I am happy.
